Paladin's Aura of Resolve Ability--Helps Vs. Suggestion Spells?

Rules Questions

The entry for Aura of Resolve (8th Lv Paladin ability in CRB) says it is makes the paladin immune to "charm spells and spell-like effects" and gives a +4 save bonus to those with 10 ft against "charm effects".

My question is: would "charm spells" and "charm effects" include Enchantment (compulsion) spells like Suggestion and Dominate or would it only be effective against spells and that specifically are Enchantment (charm)?

Charms and compulsions are separate subtypes of mind-effecting magic and enchantment magic specifically. You'll note later that paladins become impervious to compulsions as well. As such, suggestion and dominate person will work on this 8th level paladin till he gets immunity to such things as compulsions, which occurs at much higher levels.

Ah, good catch. The 17th Lv ability does make it clearer. Much appreciated!

Basically, at level 8 you become immune to a small handful of spells and effects.
Once you hit level 17, you become immune to almost the entire Enchantment school and all such effects, as 99ish% of Enchantment spells and effects are either Charm or Compulsion.
