I am trying to create a monk that has a Rope Dart as his ranged weapon. What I am trying to understand, specifically in the Special Materials section, is how much is the cost to have it made into, for example, Elysian Bronze and Mithral. It is not an ammunition, so would it cost 1000 gp to change it to Elysian Bronze? Moreover, because it has no weight whatsoever, how would the cost be applied to the cost of making it Mithril?

Weapons: There are melee weapons in Ultimate Combat (pages 131 to 132) with a weight of "—". If these weapons are primarily metal (like the kerambit), how do you calculate the cost of creating mithral versions of these weapons?
Treat these weapons as 1/2 lb weapons for the purpose of creating a mithral version of the weapon.
LINK, last question at the bottom
So rope dart would likely be the same for mithral--> treat it as ½ lb (which means it would cost 250g and be masterwork, so you're getting a good deal... BUT SEE BELOW!)
If you want it made of Elysian Bronze, however, it's straight up +1000g to the cost (per the chart for said material).
HOWEVER: Beware the rule that if an item is not "primarily of metal" it is "not meaningfully affected by being partially made of mithral." LINK to mithral rules on PRD.
