I want to be BIG!

Silver Crusade

Okay, so I have an idea for a character concept of a halfling (or any small race, but I was thinking halfling) who wants to be BIG! I'm just not sure how to best build it.

At first, I was thinking Synthesist Summoner, but that only gets up to Huge (still pretty big, I guess), and doesn't even get Large until 8th level. The other obvious choice is Druid, but Wildshape only takes you up to Huge as well.

Any other ideas?

Take the eldritch heritage feats for the orc bloodline, you can get to large that way.

and the synthesist summoner can get you to huge, you could then use enlarge person on yourself you get up to gargantuan. If not through synthesist, then regular summoner with the twin eidolon ability.

I would imagine that a druid could use the 5th level spell animal growth to increase their size when wild shaped as an animal. It would require the feat natural spell, but that's not a bad druid feat.

So at 9th level a druid could wild shape into a Huge animal and cast animal growth on themselves to be gargantuan, the problem is that AG is a relatively short buff spell of min./caster level but it could be an option.

Weird. I never thought about using Enlarge Person on the fused eidolon. Would it still work on an Outsider?

ENLARGE PERSON

School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 round
Components V, S, M (powdered iron)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one humanoid creature
Duration 1 min./level (D)
Saving Throw Fortitude negates; Spell Resistance yes
This spell causes instant growth of a humanoid creature, doubling its height and multiplying its weight by 8. This increase changes the creature's size category to the next larger one. The target gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a –2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a –1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size.

The synthesist is targeted as both a humanoid and outsider.

Hmmm.... That works. Is there any way to bump up the size on a plant creature or elemental?

Unfortunately, he counts as whatever is worse for the synthesist.

He also gains the 'share spells' ability of the eidolon, which allows him to cast spells on himself regardless of type.

I checked the SRD Druid spell list (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/spell-lists-and-domains/spell-lists---druid) and didn't see any spells that increase the size of plants or elementals.

Ah! So that DOES work as a work-around. Okay, so, with Enlarge Person he could get to Huge by 8th level and Gargantuan by 13th.

Is there any other route to size other than Summoner or Druid?

A sorcerer or wizard could eventually get giant form II or form of the dragon III for huge size. These are both 8th level spells, so unless you are starting at high level, it's not something you can get easily.

An Alchemist with the beastmorph archetype (Ultamate Combat)http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/alchemist/archetypes/pa izo---alchemist-archetypes/beastmorph can become huge at level 14.

I'm unsure if they can use their enlarge person extracts on themselves while they have a beastmorph mutagen going though. The mutagen could be considered a magical effect that would not stack with the spell enlarge person, so they might not be able to become gargantuan.

I was thinking about this for my cleric... Making a cleric of the growth domain grants you the ability to cast enlarge person as a SWIFT action. In my head I am envisioning an incredible hulk like character. When ever he gets mad he gets big...

Add in lunge and you have a reach of 15 feet for a bad touch cleric.

Powerful Wild Shaped lets you count as one size larger for wild shape in many effects....grapple or trip or whatnot. Growth subdomain lets you up your own size and it doesn't limit by type...

So a growth domain Druid with powerful wild shape would, at 12th level, be gargantuan with the mods of colossal.

If you wanna remain humanoid shape make it a mountain Druid but it may take longer.

Ooh and add eldrich heritage aberration for stretchy limbs. And as stated above, lunge. Can you say 45ft touch? Add combat reflexes. Nasty.

Also fun is there are a pair of Boots in UE that let you do a trample attack on something no matter what your size is... I am thinking about making a small character with a permanent reduce person who can trample on large things, lol...

Liberty's Edge

You should be a kobold who wants to be a giant dragon...Transmuter with form of the dragon iii. Make your Intimidate checks with your -4 Size penalty, and when people laugh at you, glare at them and then transform into a dragon and make the check again. For fun stuff, add in Intimidating Prowess, so that the difference between your Intimidate checks as a Small kobold and a Huge dragon are even larger...pun intended.
