Melee character for Jade Regent campaign?

Advice

I have decided to be the main Melee for our group. We will have a Sorcerer, Cleric, Magus and Ninja. I was thinking of going Samurai intimidate route. Way of the warrior, the only issue I have is that we dont have alot of range Damage except the sorc. Any thoughts?

What are the Cleric's domains? Have him take fire and toss spells when needed.

I have a cleric of Sarenrae in a Jade Regent game and she's been tossing around Admonishing Rays and burning hands like they are going out of style. And working towards the preferred spell feat for Fireball when she gets her next level. Ironically shes the blaster as our Wizard focuses on buffs and control spells a little more. (not to bad in melee either, except she has terrible Hit points.)

Switch Hitter style Ranger would be good. Basically take the archery combat style and use your normal feats to grab a few melee feats and quick draw and you will be able to cover melee and range well.

You can only prepare a domain spell in domain slots.

You honestly don't need blasting, healing or melee: The MMO roles can be entirely ignored and the party is often better off for it.

What you really NEED to do is ensure you can reach the foe as a melee combatant, and JR has a plot important item for that.

What does Samurai have to support intimidate anyways? Mundane fear is pretty terrible in PF (It doesn't stack), and it makes you even more MAD.

He will still get more than enough fire spells to offset his cleric spells if they need more ranged combatants. But being a cleric he can also toss his divine spells out or get into melee. Nothing to do with filling out the classic MMO roles and more to do with giving them more combat options.

But if he really likes blasting, preferred spell feat fixes the domains lot only issue.

Okay.
What about Oni-Spawn Tiefling, Yokai Hunter Ranger, focusing on using Sawtooth Sabres?

I just remembered Samurai DOES have one trick to support fear (Enforcer+that order that lets you do non-lethal damage at no penalty), but it is still pretty iffy.

What is the Magus built like? The Ninja? The Cleric? They can all stand in melee anyways depending on their build.
