Talents (warning: noob question)

Rules Questions

What exactly are talents?
Feats and Skills have their own section, so they're pretty self explanatory, but what about talents?
Where in the main pathfinder rulebook does it explain what they are and how often your character gets them?

Thanks in advance.

Talents? There are no talents in Pathfinder to my knowledge. Do you mean Traits? Traits are introduced in the APG.

Do you perhaps mean Rogue Talents? You only get those if you are a Rogue (and maybe a couple in certain other archetypes and prestige classes); you get them with every even Rogue level; and the list of them should be in the section on Rogues.

Traits are in the Advanced Players' Guide in the back, i think the section is called "New Rules" or "Optional Rules". basically they give you two minor boosts to various skills / abilities while giving your character a more organic feel, like he actually came from somewhere and has a background that is deep enough to affect him mechanically.

I certainly hope there are still Talents though, Elamdri, or there will be some very unhappy Rogues tomorrow morning =)

hmm... thanks.
I'll clarify with the person I was talking to about what they meant by talents.

Sounds like 'Traits' per the post above.
