Even though this isn't a Society module, I think it'd be interesting to give the players the option of having their PCs be members of the factions.
Any ideas as to what kinds of side quests the faction leaders would want their agents to accomplish?

On a related note, will the various faction heads make an appearance? The nature of the AP screams for some kind of attention from Grandmaster Torch at the very least.
I am about to start running this with players who are all PFS vets. I want to use the faction heads to tease or give out side adventures or similar things, so that they feel like there is more than just Ms. Heidmarche telling them what to do.

Nope. None of the faction heads OR any of the Pathfinder Society org play factions will make an appearance. Although a few famous actual pathfinders will show up in the last adventure.
We're specifically not including the PFS factions, though, because they're characters for an entirely different campaign, and because the current season of PFS actually takes place in Varisia for the most part and we want to keep that season separate from Shattered Star.
Psst. you could always make some up and have pretend chronicles that are a bit PFS-like

Well, yes. That was the point, to have a brainstorming thread to share faction quest ideas.

Could you add PFS "factions" to the AP? Would it enhance play? Would it be too much trouble?
