What Shifty said, as well as to provide an AP outlet for being a group of Pathfinders which has been largely from APs. Not everyone plays PFS (it used to be a minority of players). Also, I imagine the AP experience of being a Pathfinder will be a far-cry from the Scenario experience.
I understand. And I certainly understand very well that the needs of an AP are different than sanctioned PFS sessions.
However, I have found that in running 4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild there has been some useful material in the first installment of the Shattered Star AP to add some depth to GMing 4-01 with NPC and setting information.
It seems to me a logical next step would be take a subset of the encounters/dungeons in this AP to make a couple of sanctioned PFS senerios. This could be something like what was done with We Be Goblins where you have a separate PDF download of instructions and chronical sheets and maybe even some pregens targeted for certain points in the AP. This would be a great way to cross market the AP and PFS (more than what this AP already does so very well).
Just a suggestion for Paizo.

should be pretty easy to make, something i have been thinkiong about
saves on tracking on xp
You're not allowed to make up your own Chronicle sheets for Pathfinder Society Organized Play for non-sanctioned scenarios or Modules. If you're talking about making such for a home game, of course, that's perfectly fine, but this is the PFS section of the messageboards.

It wasn't obvious at all, and just because you have a star, doesn't mean it wasn't possible you didn't know that. I've seen people with more stars make bigger mistakes.
...and sometimes the posts I make are meant as much as clarification for other people (lurkers) reading the thread as they are for the person I'm replying to.

I do believe it means that both Shattered Star AP and Rise of the Runelords Anniversary edition are both now (or soon to be) sanctioned APs....
But I think it might be an accidental early reveal... because some joker decided to talk about what he saw over in another section of the website.... he (this "Wamulus" joker) spoiled the big reveal!

Now the chronicles have been out for a month and I'm looking for feedback as to the handling of the 2 items listed on the chronicle and all future instances of said items.
Each of these things has a related curse and a subsequent way to remove the curse in each of the mods. When the players receive these items on the chronicle, are these Items missing the object that negates the curse? If it is missing, can players install said item in the future to negate the curse?
Thank you for any info people are able to give, but would like a definitive word from the powers that be. Thank you!

The chronicle sheets need to be taken in isolation, as that's all the documentation a player will have. If there was an easy way to negate the penalty, it would be listed on the chronicle sheet.
Bear in mind that the character effectively gets the use of a powerful magic item for free, and the listed penalty is the only drawback to it.

Thank you Paz for the response. Still would like to know if a character can negate the penalty using the method listed in the adventure path? Taking the information listed in the Chronicle for Shards of Sin, The first Items penalty is easy to adjudicate and negate.
the second one as it reads is extraordinarily a pain to deal with.
This is why I ask if the penalty can be negated by use of the secondary item.

Then, pretty much, that Chronicle requires the character to be sickened whenever he acts on orders from the Pathfinder Society, in any capacity other than "member of the Decemvirate". He'd still be able to participate in modules, of course.
OK, I'm late to the party because I'm playing SS and just finish Part 1. I have to say, if the player is roleplaying the curse appropriately, using Natalya as a cue, the sickened condition is the least of your worries--it's not going to be that the character is like "Well I love following orders and cooperating with you guys, but unfortunately this weird curse is giving me sickened penalties and negating my aid anothers. My apologies for that." He or she is going to be a hyper-arrogant overconfident arse.
It seems like the versions of the shards with permanent curses (which I agree are definitely what you get on the sheet currently, and since the ioun stones aren't listed as items on the chronicle, you won't even have enough fame for them right away anyway) are going to cause a lot of trouble with the "don't be a jerk" clause of the Guide.
I mean, normally if someone makes a super-prideful or super-greedy character and you remind them of "Don't be a jerk" they might say "I'm just playing my character" and you can say "Can you please modify your character to be less of a jerk then? You have the choice to make a more agreeable character, so choosing this personality is being a jerk" But with Shards of Sin, they might say "I'm really sorry, but I have this chronicle with cursed items that are forcing me to act this way--it wasn't my initial vision of the character at all. If you like, I can switch to the cursed item that makes my character super-slutty instead. If it's still a problem, I can just play a pregen. If this keeps happening, maybe I'll just retire this character."
