Question: Kickstarter projects?

If one is to drum up interest on this board for a possible kickstarter project, and get some ideas from the community as to what the rewards will be, will I have to post in the Compatible Publisher's forum?

That depends on the project.

If the project is to make a Pathfinder Compatible book or something like that, yes, it should go in the Compatible Products forum.

If you're trying to make a movie or something like that, it would go in the Movies forum. And so on.
