Incorrect Math?

Sorry if this has come up before, but I was checking some of the key NPCs and the math does not come out right. I haven't checked them all yet, but Ameiko overspent her skill points by 12. Is this a typo, or is there some reason I'm not seeing for this?

yeah, she is over-budgetted in skill points.

Nope works out exactly. All skills she has are class skills so +3 on all of those.

She's also a bard. That means:
a) Bardic Knowledge, a +1 on all the Knowledge skills (thats 4)
b) Versatile Performance (string), Bluff and Diplomacy use her Perform (string) scores. (thats 5 twice, 10 total)

So those two things giver her basicly 14 bonus skillpoints.

Also she has favored class bard and put that favored class bonus in skillpoints, and gets another +1 per level for being human.

Correct. When a bard has Versatile Performance, we list those skills as appropriate.

I generally try to err on the side of providing an easier to run off the page stat block than one that's easier to reverse engineer.

She is still a few skill points overboard, she doesn't have bluff listed but Intimidate (at least in the physical copy, might have been changed in the PDF)

I rebuild her in Herolabs, she has 43 skillpoints, and needs 43 skillpoints.
Intimidate is at 5 ranks.

Thanks, just looked, she does have bluff (read too fast)

But she still feel over-budgetted...

Bard, 18 + 3 (int) + 3 (human) + 3 (fav) = 27
Rogue, 8 + 1 (int) + 1 (human) = 10

Never mind, I forgot to count the Int and Human mods for Aristocrat and Rogue...
