Is there any way that posting a new thread in the Pathfinder Society boards could feature a quick little note above the text-entry box that say something like "We encourage new players to consult the Guide, Addt'l Resources, and FAQ to see if their questions have already been addressed by the basic ruleset"? I don't know how effective it would be, but I've seen a lot of questions lately that are answered by simply linking to one of those documents.

You can't see it, but I'm smiling SO HARD. Because that's funny. I know from long experience how few people actually read signs -- less than one in ten, maybe less than one in twenty -- and I'm sure that the same would apply to webpages. Seriously, it's worthy of comment whenever someone actually reads a sign. Because normally they just don't.

That makes me sad. But explains the drivers where I live. :P

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Given the number of rules in the books, number of rules misunderstood, number of rules, number of things in PS but not PFS that make no sense and number of posts; I really dont think such links/signs would work

if someone politely asks, then why not politely point them in the right direction
