Is there any way to have more than your level in skill ranks

Advice

Basically what the subject says. Trying to get into a prc early, but need some way to have 3 ranks in two different skills at 2nd level. Any ideas?

Its for Mystic Theurge... I have the 'cast 2nd level arcane and divine spells' thing licked, qualifying for that at 1st level in each class. Just need to meet the skill requirement.

Unless you're a monstrous race that gets racial HD then no.

It is a design choice that skill ranks never exceed hit dice.

You can't cast 2nd level spells as a first level character. There's no legal way to monkey that trick.

You want to mix arcane and divine early? Play a witch.

Even then the spells a witch casts are clearly stated to be arcane though they do get some spells that were 'cleric only' up until that point.

Back in ye olde days of 3.0, prestige classes were explicitly stated as only being available to characters of 5th level or above (that restriction was later relaxed). While that's not a rule that Pathfinder officially follows, so far I don't believe there has been a single PF prestige class you can get into before 5th level.

Alas, if you want to play a legal mystic theurge, you'll have to do it the painful way.
