Shifter's headband. Does it work for druids?

I find the wording on some of this item a little wonky.

If the wearer is a creature who uses magic to change
form, she gains the following additional benefits.

-Does this mean it only works while you are changing form? Or just anyone that has a habit of growing fur on a daily basis?

Shifter’s headband +2: The wearer treats her caster level
as if it were one level higher when casting spells or creating
extracts of the polymorph subschool.

-This would seem to not apply to druids wildshaping.

Shifter’s headband +4: Once per day while under the
effect of a polymorph spell or extract, the wearer can
assume another form allowed by that effect. This is a
standard action.

-Spell or extract, but not effect?

Shifter’s headband +6: Whenever the wearer changes her
shape with a polymorph effect, she gains DR 5/silver for 1
minute (this ends if she returns to her natural form).

Now it says polymorph effect. This presumably would work with wildshape.

I agree. Any "shifter" items need to clearly be identified as being able to be utilized by the biggest "shifting" class in the game..wildshapers. A rules clarification on this would be great.

A response to this would be really great *bump*

Shadow Lodge

This item really does not seem intended for druids.

The caster level reference for the +2 is incompatible with Wildshape mechanics - it's too generous to boost effective druid level, though I supposed you could just increase duration. The headband +4 benefit is basically +1 use of wild shape per day but with a duration cut on the second change (which may or may not be relevant at that level), and while the Headband +6 benefit works with Wildshape it doesn't give a whole lot of benefit to the large portion of druids who take advantage of the long duration of wildshape to change form well before combat.

I'll toss my hat in here for loving clarification.

You're not actually casting those spells when you are wildshaping so it's fairly clear that the answer is no.
