Reverse-engineering the dagger, 'heartripper' comes to a flat additional price of 9,000 gp.
I plan on making heartripper claws (spiked gauntlet described as having bladed claws instead of knuckle spikes; mechanically identical) and have come across a few points to ponder:
What action is used to consume the heart? If you choose not to, how long can you carry the heart around with you? Can you carry multiple hearts for later use? Is this completely horrifying?

What I'd like to know is, does this render the Coup de Grace instantly fatal?
There aren't any rules for dying when your hart is removed as far as I'm aware.
That just makes it more awesome. :P
Imagine being paralysed (hold person) and then seeing your heart removed before your eyes. Yet somehow, you do not die. You are released, and from that day forth the silent hollow in your chest reminds you that you are no longer truly alive nor undead, but something unknown, lingering on the border between.
Maybe you should become immune to bleed attacks and effects that specifically target the heart after surviving that. :D
So, has anyone here played Dragon's Dogma?

Well, they seriously under priced that weapon... Given they don't say sentient being, sacrificing the proverbial bag of rats is quite possible. Unlimited use of multiple 3ed+ level spells, many with significant component costs... with the add on of a potential +4 weapon (+2 Flaming Burst), a normal cost of 32302 for a nice neat 11302... Yeah magic item pricing is an art, and this one is a fail.
