Re: Order# 2173555

It's been 3 weeks and still haven't even started filling the order. You indicated you would be using 2 packages in any event - surely you could of sent one package by now.

Don't get me wrong - I love the fact pathfinder kicked 4eD&D in the behind, but you couldnt of won popularity based on speed of filling orders! Years ago you were much better - now days your service is in danger of jeopardising your growth. You should consider grabbing all the people on staff, take them off their computers, and send them down into the warehouse with a roll of tape and give them a couple of boxes to fill!

Three weeks is a long time, so it could be a glitch. Having said that...

I think they're just insanely busy around gen con time - July/August are usually the slowest months, in my experience. Plus this year they had the ten year anniversary sale, the launch of the comics, the rotrl anniversary edition and the next instalment of minis (which appears to have generated one or two new flavors of weird things). No doubt all of those contributed to a huger than expected batch of orders. They certainly send extra staff down to help out (even the CEO is known to work in the warehouse, when things get manic).

Steven,

I respect you and owe an enormous debt of gratitude because you and your brother gave me a copy of S4 lost caverns of tsojcanth years ago in the Halcyon era of RPG - 1980's - which is still in MHO at the top of the list of the best modules of all time - that Rajan and I enjoyed immensely - so I brook no argument with you ; nor could i with a fellow South Australian in a sea of yanks

Still sux paizo is slow tho!

More than likely, there was something that went wrong somewhere along the way. As Steve said, things get hectic around this time of the year and sometimes things go awry. Indeed, a few of my own orders are running behind. With that said, please try to remember that Paizo does everything they can to get your shipment out in a timely fashion (even during this busy time of the year). I understand where you're coming from and ask that you please have patience with the company until your order arrives. I'm sure if there was a mix-up, it was not intentional and they are well-known for working cohesively with their customers.

As Sara said to you in her email on the 15th, the confirmation email for your order said that it should ship out to you in 7 to 17 business days. You placed the order on August 4, so 7 business days from the date you placed your order was August 14th and 17 business days from the order being placed will be August 28th.

This means that, under normal and ideal circumstances, your order should be shipping out sometime between August 14th and August 28th. This was stated plainly at the time you placed your order, both on your order confirmation page before you placed the order and again on the order confirmation email after you placed the order. Furthermore, when you place items into your shopping cart, it lists the "should ship by" estimate for each individual item as an indication of which product will hold up your order.

As Sara also indicated in her previous email, our warehouse is running beyond capacity at the moment, so all orders are delayed somewhat in some fashion. We are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to get the shipping queue back under control.

Your order, however, is not yet even been delayed. We are still just over halfway through the estimated shipping time. Based on how hard the warehouse people are working at the moment, I like to think that we will be at or near capacity by the time your shipping estimate expires, and it's quite possible that your order will ship out without being late at all.

This means that, for your order in all likelihood, we are not slow at all. We will be doing exactly what we said we would.

Thanks,
cos

Heh - wow a blast from the past. Going through that module is one of my fond memories from that time too. :)

.
I agree it sucks to have to wait for stuff without having a local option - one of the downsides of living a million miles from anywhere. Personally, I blame the pacific ocean - somebody should do something about that. I vote for a Paizo retail outlet in Rundle Mall.

Having said that, 7-17 business days sounds like you were ordering a non-Paizo product. I dont think they have lots of stock sitting around, so you're probably at the mercy of their distributor getting it to them (in the busiest month of the year for RPG companies, no less) before they can even start packaging it up for you.

Much, much better than being the focus of a spell. Like, for example, Brochar's Necromantic Singularity.

Yep—though it would be more accurate to say "sounds like you were ordering something that Paizo has to get from their distributor" instead of "a non-Paizo product". We do have many popular non-Paizo products on hand.
