I was wondering, if a lich uses its touch attack to deal negative energy damage and this lich just happens to also be a cleric with the knowledge domain, would this touch (aside from possibly paralyzing the target) also count for the purposes of the knowledge domain's Lore Keeper ability?
It is worded thusly:
Lore Keeper (Sp): You can touch a creature to learn about its abilities and weaknesses. With a successful touch attack, you gain information as if you made the appropriate Knowledge skill check with a result equal to 15 + your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier.

It seem legal to me, but players are hardly ever liches so it should not come up that much.
If the lich is a GM it still won't matter to much because knowledge checks give you info on a creature type, not that particular creature.
Well it is true that the ability itself is very situational, and the lich is indeed an NPC. He was once an adventuring cleric though, and this seemed to fit one of the choices that he would have made when he began his career.
Thank you for your feedback, Wraith. :-)
