Shipping an entire AP at once

Customer Service

So, I'd like to change how I receive my Adventure Paths, but I'm unsure of how to do that. I'd like to wait until the AP is finished, and then have the whole thing shipped at once (this is to save on shipping, as well as preventing us from getting stuff slowly; when it comes all at once, it's easily kept together for organization).

When we first chose to subscribe we had that option (at least I thought we did), but we chose not to at the time (as I wasn't really sure what that meant), and I don't know how to change that now. Is that still possible? Was I mistaken?

Sorry for the silly n00bish questions, but, you know, I don't have subscriptions from anyone except you guys. At all!

Thanks in advance, and God bless you!

I'm pretty sure you were mistaken. It used to be possible to select "Hold my subscriptions for monthly shipping" but that meant to collect all the releases throughout a month and ship them all at once (when the AP was released). It was useful for people with subscriptions to multiple lines, not for those with only one sub. Now that Paizo release all their products for a month on the same day, that option is redundant. (If you dont have any non-Paizo subscriptions it's functionally identical, strangely, to "never hold anything" :p)

This comes up from time to time and the issue is one of cashflow. They're not permitted (by the terms of their agreement with the various credit card companies) to charge your credit card until they ship you your book. Thus providing this service would involve doing without a substantial sum of money for six months - which would be a hassle, if not impossible.

Alright, no problem!

The option, if I recall, was something like, "hold until this order is completed" or some such, so I didn't know what that meant, but I can see where they're coming from. It makes sense, though I'd trust Paizo, that, from a business perspective, credit card companies wouldn't (and it would be incredibly difficult for Paizo).

Anyway, thanks!

That option is for stuff that's on backorder and does not apply to subscriptions.

I know where you're coming form. If only I had a way to shave some money off my shipping cost that did not involve flying in for Gencon :)

Oh, okay! That makes sense. Thanks!

And yeah. We're still going to be subscribers, I just thought it would be nice to be able to save money and also make sure that it all came together instead of in separate little things.

(I also want to go to Gencon...)
