Bleeding Dmg question

Rules Questions

So I have a former player returning to play his old character from the Second Darkness AP, as an NPC in my Jade Regent game that I'm running now.

We have gone back through and updated his character to the current rules but we still have a few questions about bleeding dmg.

The NPC have the bleeding attack rogue talent, the bleeding critical feat, and a Rapier of puncturing. He fights with a kukri in his off hand. He is a 9lvl Magus/ 5lvl rogue/ 3lvl Shadow dancer. our question is...if one of the PC's in the Jade regent game picks a fight with him (mind one of the players most likely will)(and they are only 3rd lvl at this time), what is the most bleed dmg he can deal out in one round?

Irrelevant. If you're expecting a 3rd level character (or even party) to attack him, and you are building him as a 17th level character, you are just planning to kill the character or party anyway. The numbers would just be an excuse.

Not irrelevant...the plan is not to have the NPC kill him or the party. That NPC was one of 2 to make it through the second darkness AP and he went back to run the Golden Goblin. The Jade regent group is currently looking for a runaway woman & her conman of a boyfriend. the trail has lead them to the Golden Goblin and the NPC will have info for them. The question was asked because one of the Jade Regent players has made a habit of getting into pissing matches with NPC's and I was wondering what the max bleed dmg he could do in one round, as the guest player for the NPC has no reason to kill the party out right but he would make a point if the guy steps up. So his plan if rule allow is to pull all but 1 point of weapon and sneak attack dmg.....but let the bleed dmg be real.

Well if you manage to crit him to get the bleeding critical to proc, it really isnt much of a question anymore XD

Now if you are asking how much bleed damage you can get on a hit, well then that I can probably answer.

First of all, I am going to assume puncturing is wounding (scroll to the bottom), as I do not know what puncturing enchantment is. Your bleeding attack rouge talent will add 3 bleed damage if you sneak, 2d6 bleed from bleeding critical, and 1 from the puncturing/wounding. You would have to get both a sneak attack and a crit to deal 2d6+4 bleed a hit... 3 of that does not stack with itself, so every attack after will deal 2d6+1. Multiply x number of attacks by 2d6 and add x, then add 3 if you get a sneak attack. That is the most you could get and if the level 17 character gets that many criticals, the pitiful bleed is the least of your worries.

Thanks Gobo
