Basically what screen names to you use or have you seen used that are fun and what do you use them for?

Off the top of my head a few of my favorites are:

Tiny Coffee Golem - technically an alt, but fun.
One as many - Hivemind collective
Gnomeland security -
AM BARABARIAN - Needs no introduction
AM WIZURD - The aforementioned barbarians arch nemesis
Owen the Ediolon - Used in summoner threads. He generally dislikes his summoner.

I'm sure there are more.

I've never used an alias, here or on any other forums I have participated in. I can see the atraction of it, but as a person with serious mental deficiencies, it is probably not a good idea for me to go down that path. What I really don't understand is how people can create alternative expressions of themselves in order to argue with themselves in what, to me, looks like the most pathetic cry for attention imaginable.

Some of us find it funny.

Big Mammy Grillz - the grotesque, incestuous, Old One-worshipping redneck. I laugh every time.

The alias's are generally not to hide one's true identity, but simply for comic effect.

Lets do all stay on topic please, lest we spawn a whole new set of snarkly alts.

Thanks.

I apologise, profusely. I did not mean to insult, and I see that my words were very insulting. I do not understand people very well, and my opinion, that people arguing with themselves, is pathetic and a call for attention was rude. Forgive me, please.

I will not interrupt this thread again.

Grand Lodge

It's no problem. I'm not certain of the issues you alluded to, but I can see how someone with psychological troubles might be offended at someone faking them for amusement. If my or anyone else's alias antics have offended you, I do apologize. It is all intended to entertain, not insult.

Thanks.

Indeed, i have too many as it is.

I've really only got the one, which I was goaded into after seeing one too many posts in a thread turn into "But these sixteen proposed solutions aren't MY way" or something similar. Can't remember.

I may have watched a bit too much TV. >_>

I have no idea what happened to me...maybe I am dead. What if I'm a ghost?

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Well I use Shad when I want to advocate a lawful evil viewpoint on alignment/ethics threads.

And Self uses selfriend Douglock when thread content decends into language!coherency. Self also finds Technarcracy speak amusing to irritate/annoy/mock Goreans. But Self rarely has need for selfriend Douglock.

Slight typo there, but thanks for the shout-out =D One-of-Many's mine, and he's fun. He's basically a big mish-mash of the Zerg (Starcraft), the Borg (Star Trek), the Cybermen (Doctor Who), and the Many (System Shock 2).

I have a bunch of aliases, I guess these would be my favorites:

Bickering Partisans - lets me be snarky in politics threads, and in a bad/fake British accent to boot. Wot, wot.
Balrog - HUZZAH!!
Cabbage Guy - Not My Cabbages!
Ensirio the Longstrider - for whenever I want something wacky and off the wall, out comes the Eris priestess. Also started the Calvinball thread.
Gentleman Nurn - my cultured Chaotic Evil side, courtesy of Bastion of Broken Souls.
Grue in the Attic - *sign* "Who doesn't love Grues?"
MissingNo - 2$v)-<mO$///////~4! IA! IA!!
Nikola Tesla - feeds my mad scientist impulses.
One-of-Many - as above.
Pyromaniac - Because I am one.
Sasha Nein - Psychonauts needs more love.

Favorites I've seen around the board:

Aberzombie's Conspiracy Buff makes me laugh every time.
Scintillae's Whiny Pony might have been mostly my fault.
Jess Door's Jesszilla for obvious reasons.
The many faces of TriOmegaZero.
The various aliases that hang out in the Slaad Thread and Thread Celestial.
And of course the various iconics and similar characters, primarily Lem, Feiya, Merisiel, and Treerazer.

My fave is Aberzombie's Union Thugee, who, sadly, hasn't seen much use since the invention of "Hide thread."

Many-of-one is one of my favorites. It was one of the inspirations for this thread.

The Nike in India will be slaughtered. Then we will overrun the Walmartians and force their Super Centers to bow to Kali. And then the Fedex will fall and finally Capitalism will be cast down and forgotten.

Dark Archive

I could always start a list of the aliases I think I need excuses to use more often...

My favourites that I can recall right now:

AM BARBARIAN: Shows that prose and high literature can be achieved without the niceties of verbal times and connectors.

Cabbage Guy: Local psycho lad. Cabbages will drive you mad eventually. I guess it's the smell.

Don Juan de Doodlebug/Burgomeister of Troll Town: Love the names, particular the former. Not sure if the whole shaking it in the street like there's no tomorrow would be a nice spectacle to see, though.

The Various Slaad Salads: From Potato Slaad to Caesar Slaad, they are just awesome.

There are several more I thoroughly enjoy that current hunger is blocking me from recalling.

That Evil Guy is another one.

[blushes]

If you have nothing nice to say, come sit next to me!

In World of Tanks, Ive seen Dave from Accounting and Surprise Enema, which I chuckle every time Im in battle with them.

Vomit Guy on these boards makes me laugh too

Scarab Sages

I'm a big fan of Big Mammy Grillz, Your Creepy Neighbor, an June Cleaver.

Of my own aliases: It's hard to choose, since each one of them is a work of art. Seriously, someone once started a thread about aliases and specifically sited mine. Anyway, if I had to choose amongst them....

Bob Sothoth - younger brother of Yog

Clinically Depressed Poodle - never have I gotten so much from a simple new story about a dude being mauled by his poodle.

Hungry Jack - awesome profile and inspired posts.

Frank the Mime - who always has such interesting commentary

Potato Slaad - I've always been particularly proud of this one's profile.

Secretlyreplacedwith - an old-school, pre-pony Sebastian clone that let's me channel my inner, heartless, soulless lawer.

Vomit Guy - I think this is the only alias ever to be restricted (unfairly in my humble opinion) to one area of the boards on pain of death.

I cant believe I forgot Creepy Neighbor. He's one of my new favorites.

Ditto on Frank.

Oh, I'll also add Mr Fishy. I particularly like his profile line "Mr Fishy doesn't care if people like him. Mr Fishy likes Mr Fishy".

Hells yeah! Mr. Fishy is f@%&ing hilarious.

Third to Mr Fishy! It's been too long since I've seen him around.

ALL HAIL VOMIT GUY!

Miserable Old Bitty makes me happy. She and Cranky McOld Guy should get a room together along with June Cleaver. Your Creepy Neighbor could hold the videocamera.

Sovereign Court

Vomit Guy.

Just thought of this one. I look foraward to using it.

Oh man I remember that one. Studpuffin doesn't post nearly enough anymore.

Fleshgrinder: Made Dummokk Fleshgrinder as a half-orc fighter on an old NWN PW server. I then made the character in WoW, gained a huge number of friends while playing WoW and to them my name literally is Fleshgrinder. They call me Flesh for short. I try to use the name often so people who knew me in WoW can find me, which works as even someone on these forums recognized me from WoW and got in touch with me after a few years.

Hraefnson/Hraefnsong: Saxon for Ravenson/Ravensong. I started using Saxon words for names as they were almost never taken. The raven is one of my favourite animals.

Mordsong: Saxon for death song.

Mordwyrhta: Saxon for murderer, or more accurately "Death Wright". Me and a couple friends play FPS games together as a sort of "shadow clan". We have no clan tag, but we're all different words for murderer in different languages.

Yfelsung: Saxon for blasphemy, or more accurately "Evil Song". You can see how Yfel eventually morphed into Evil in English (as Saxon is one of English's root languages). They use the U instead of the O because, for whatever reason, blasphemy is considered a feminine noun in Saxon.

Ghorgrot/Lomghol/Ghorhakk/Ghor/Mhorrg: Assorted Orcish names I've used over the years.

Mordraed: Just a Saxon'd up Mordred. In Saxon, ae makes the same sound as the a in "blast" not a high a like "base".

Adraedan: Saxon for "to dread".

Shadow Lodge

Creepy Neighbor, AM BARBARIAN, Mr. Fishy.

Azten's fun to use simply because I'm restricting my use of my actual alias in an attempt to get "a.k.a" status!

I like Battle Toad(mine). It's a Toad in spiked fullplate that you throw, what's not to like?

Then there is: Slip n Slaad, Poodle Jack Slaad, Poodle in the Shadows, AM BARD, and The Almost Invisible Dragon. Sadly, I haven't been using them lately.

Oh and of course, Grod Son of Grod.

MY RAGE IS ADORABLE!!

Oh, if we're bringing up other MMO's I have a few good ones.

WOW:

Icehole - Gnome wizard. Name eventually had to be changed even though it's a real non-lewd thing.

Humantarget - Human mage
Stemcel - Druid AKA: shapeshifting freak
Angrysmurf - Dwarf Hunter
WeezyJferson - Weezy Jefferson, Paladin.
Churchlady - undead and Dwarf female cleric (two different servers)
XWife - Shadow cleric
Juwana - Undead Warlock

Diablo:

VooDooMan - Guess
Cookie - female wizard

I would like, if possible, to hear the story of Vomit Guy and how he got banned.
