I have been replaying Baldur's Gate 2 recently and I got the idea to run a pathfinder, most likely golarionized conversion of it for group. Some questions:
While Abadar matches the portfolio of Waukeen are there any other deities that would work for the role of the depowered and captured goddess? Corollary: Any ideas for why said god/dess is depowered?
Which demon lord would best replace Grazz't? (I do own BoD: Lords of Chaos)
A good replacement for the silver stair?
Any other thoughts/suggestions?

If you have Green Ronin's Book of Fiends, they mention a demon lord named Vaz'zht. They don't describe him much except his areas of concern. Which are nobility and espionage. Sounds pretty close to Grazzt. Since Erik Mona wrote Armies of the Abyss for Green Ronin, I think it's not too much of a stretch to say that book influenced the Book of the Damned!

Depending on how canon you wished to be, you could use Aroden in place of Waukeen, and have him be imprisoned by Fraz-Urbluu, the Demon Lord of Deception. Fraz was imprisoned himself by Grazz't and other enemies as part of a deal gone bad, just like Waukeen, so there is an older precedent (albeit 2nd Ed, but the fluff was better back then). Or have Abadar make a deal with Fraz, but he neglected to look over the fine print this time on his contract, but so did Fraz in the form of a key. All good lawyer merchant gods always leave a fine detail to get out of a deal later.
