My suggestion is to check out the website for Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and take a peek at their map. If any eatery that has been featured on the show happens to be near your route, check it out, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Yup, Checked there. The only place along that route was a Gizzard Place in Potterville, Mi with amazingly inconsistent reviews.
Anyone know of any good places between Flint, Mi and Indianapolis, along I-69? If No one can think of anything, I will stop asking and we will likely just stop at some fast food place.
I don't have any specific restaurant suggestions on that route. These days on road trips, I usually just bring the dehydrated meal pouches you get at camping stores. Same price as a normal fast food meal, but I bring my camping stove and can heat them up anywhere.
I use a phone app called Urbanspoon. Once it picks up your location via GPS, it can break down the cities in that area, along with the food fare, and the price ranges. You can lock down certain categories to be more specific or you can let it spin at random and choose a spot for you. It usually comes with a brief description of what the restaurant serves and then it usually comes with reviews and ratings based on them.
Sometimes, I even do that locally in case I'm in the mood for something and being indecisive as to where to go.
