Need help creating a 5-piece magic item set!

I'm running a side-quest while my DM is away for our group, and have decided to do the Ruby Phoenix Tournament, since we are in Tian Xia (and around the proper level). At the end of the module you are allowed into some great stash of magic items and allowed to pick ONE. Our DM has given me the green light to create a custom set of magic items that all follow a given theme (Oni Slaying!) but still add power and/or utility to our characters. The group is as follows:

Conjuration Wizard
Sword/Board TWF Werebear
Flowing Monk (Unarmed)
Barbarian/Alchemist Beastmorpher (Unarmed)
and a Witch!

The magic item set consists of 5 pieces (that roughly outline a humanoid figure):
Earrings, Torque, Belt, Bracers, and Greaves.

Following a theme of Oni Slaying (and possible nature undertones) what abilities would you give these items? Nothing no more powerful than 15k-20k per item (we are a bit undertreasured).

Would love some ideas!!

Perhaps the 3.5 Magic Item Compendium will help. Use one of the example magic item sets, then convert and reflavor.

Off the top of my head:

Earrings which give a +3 * (number of items in the set worn) to perception, sense motive, and survival (tracking) checks against Oni. Give a +2 to perception for all other situations.

Torque, gives a flat +3 (resistance bonus) to saves, +1 per item if the spell or ability originated from an Oni.

Belt, +4 (enchancement) to strength, gives a +5 to CMD against Oni.

Bracers, +2 dex (enhancement), goes up to +6 (for 1 hour) when drenched in the fresh blood of an Oni; and a +2-per-item to CMB against Oni.

Greaves, +10 unnamed bonus to base speed, becomes +30 if you have the entire set.

That may be too powerful since I don't think there are clear rules for "boosts CMB/CMD" but it should be close to 20k, especially since a lot of it has caveats or only works on Oni.

Wayfinder + Dusty Rose Prism Ioun Stone = +1Insight bonus to AC, +2Insight Bonus to CMB/CMD. Price: 500 +5000gp = 5500gp.

Also: circumstance, deflection, dodge, insight, luck, morale, profane, and sacred all apply bonuses to AC to CMD as well. I would type what bonus the +5 CMD against Oni is.
