Confusion with Mounted Eidolons

Rules Questions

Hi, I'm relatively new to the Summoner class in Pathfinder, so bare with me.

When determining rolls and attacking if you so choose to do mounted combat with your Eidolon, do both you and your Eidolon get a turn to attack, or are both considered as one for rolls?

you both get separate attacks, but they occur at the same time.

Not that you also have to succeed in a Ride check or you're not doing anything at all.

Mounted Combat

Your mount and you are considered 1 entity unless you have some of the mounted combat feats, but they still get an attack with you. If your mount moves that turn you only get a standard attack. If your mount charges you get your attack AND take the negative to your AC for the charge. If you want to cast a spell that is a full round and have your mount move then you will have to make a caster check.

I think that sums up most of what you would be doing with your mount.
