Caster level of Rogue

What is the caster level of a 10 rogue who has minor/major magic?

CL 10?

it says an equivalent CL equal to rogue level.

The rogue's caster level is 0 and or non-existent.

The rogue's caster level for minor or major magic only is 10.

Grand Lodge

ok- what if the rogue wants to create a magic item?

the rogue is actually Rogue 18, Fighter 2 with all the required feats...but maybe we missed something.

Can he craft a wondrous item, Mantle of Faith? A wizard is helping him with the Stoneskin spell

Grand Lodge

Please don't go into having a rogue take crafting feats- it's what the player wanted to do :-p

Well, he can't even take any item creation feats unless he has Master Craftsman, because as others have said he DOES NOT have a caster level.

And assuming you use Master Craftsman CL is irrelevant anyway, since he uses skill ranks rather than CL for crafting in this case.

The rogue's class level as a rogue.

"Note that there are a number of effects and prerequisites that rely on a character's level or Hit Dice. Such effects are always based on the total number of levels or Hit Dice a character possesses, not just those from one class. The exception to this is class abilities, most of which are based on the total number of class levels that a character possesses of that particular class." - CRB, p. 31.

"Major Magic (Sp): A rogue with this talent gains the ability to cast a 1st-level spell from the sorcerer/wizard spell list two times a day as a spell-like ability. The caster level for this ability is equal to the rogue's level. The save DC for this spell is 11 + the rogue's Intelligence modifier. The rogue must have an Intelligence of at least 11 to select this talent. A rogue must have the minor magic rogue talent before choosing this talent.
Minor Magic (Sp): A rogue with this talent gains the ability to cast a 0-level spell from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. This spell can be cast three times a day as a spell-like ability. The caster level for this ability is equal to the rogue's level. The save DC for this spell is 10 + the rogue's Intelligence modifier. The rogue must have an Intelligence of at least 10 to select this talent." - CRB, p. 68.

ok he does have master craftsman and has 20 ranks in it...

Looks like he is ok.

Except he wants to change the DR to 10 instead of 5 and the Alignment to Good instead of Evil.

The Craft section doesn't give the costs of DR increases, or DR for that matter...
