The sale price is awesome, at $5 per module. But why the low price, when some of the other older APs are not on such a sale. Overstock? Is it getting updated to Pathfinder system (wasn't it based on 3.5?) in a hardback after ROTRL? I would accept rumor and innuendo here, verified facts not necessary.
Separate question, did anyone play through it? Any memories, good or bad?
I'm guessing the APs that are on sale are the ones where Paizo still has a decent amount of each volume.
Paizo has repeatedly stated that the RotRL hardcover was a one-time thing, and that they have no plans to do the same for the other 3.5 APs.
Legacy of Fire is easily one of my favorite Adventure Paths, with cool flavor, interesting groups/NPCs, and a nice mix of exploration/social/combat opportunities in each book.
Just got the whole set in a cool paizo golem box today!
I am SOOOO HAPPY with it so far! The adventure part is like 50+ pages which makes it like $.08/page for awesome paizo content!

There is a player's guide, but it's unfortunately not a free one. The Second Darkness and Legacy of Fire player's guides were part of the Pathfinder Companion product series. Here's a product link to the Legacy of Fire Player's Guide.
