Does it Stack?

Advice

There are a lot of feats (a whole lot) and no one character can ever take all the ones they want (and at the same time they are limited about what they can do because they don't have the feats).

There are a good number of feats that seem to duplicate others as well. This confuses matters. To be on the safe side of feat choices I'd like to ask about certain feats, and if there are any others people who are curious about other feats they can ask here.

Missile shield, snatch arrows, catch arrows...do these stack for a character using only a shield and an empty hand?

I would have to check the exact wording but my gut says unless they both say something like "The first Ranged attack" I would say yes.

Snatch Arrows modifies Deflect Arrows, so they don't stack; it's still just once per round. I think that Missile Shield stacks with them -- the difference between "when using" and "as if" -- so you can deflect another ranged attack each round. I can't find a feat called "Catch Arrows".

You can't find 'Catch Arrows' because it is called 'Snatch Arrows', but you typed that at the beginning of the comment. ... Are you tryin' to pull my leg? lol

Does anyone have a firm answer about the 'stacking' of Snatch Arrows and Missile Shield?

I have seen nothing on it one way or another, but in the end rules are just guidelines. It is up to the GM in the end.

No, actually, I thought that you were tryin' to pull mine, but I was too polite to say so. But since you asked...

Scarab Sages

"Missile Shield (Combat)
You are skilled at deflecting ranged attacks with your shield.

Prerequisites: Dex 13, Shield Focus.

Benefit: You must be using a light, heavy, or tower shield to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with an attack from a ranged weapon (not including spell effects, natural attacks, or massive ranged weapons), you may deflect it so that you take no damage, as if you had the Deflect Arrows feat. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed."

Missile Shield works as though you already had Deflect Arrows. So there is no benefit to having both, since one gives you the ability, and the other allows you to act as though you had the ability. It's the same reason a monk using Flurry doesn't gain extra attacks from the Two-Weapon Fighting feats, he's already gaining those attacks as though he had TWF.

Isn't there a shield enhancement that stops 1 arrow per round? I believe that stacks with the feats.
