Staff and use- twice per round?

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

A character used a magical staff on his turn. His ally's turn, the ally wants to take the staff and use it as well.

Can an item like this be used more than once in a round?

Grand Lodge

I don't think anything prevents it. This would require a move action to pass the staff from one character to another and a standard action to use it, so they can be at most 10 feet apart at the end of the first user's turn.

RAW, yes. My table, no.

There's really nothing ambiguous or "that makes no sense even though the rules allow it" about doing so.

Getting a higher Rate Of Fireballs by passing a staff back and forth between two guys makes no sense at all to me, so it doesn't work.

The games assumes everyone is taking actions at about the same time, but that would cause problems in real life so we use a turn based system. I can see it not working out immersion wise. Rules wise it is not illegal.

As I said, RAW yes. Unambiguously yes. My table? No. Commoner Railgun or Wresteball Transcontinental Express don't work either.

I really wouldn't put what TC mentioned on par with the Commoner Railgun. I mostly see it as a stylized fighting sequence where in between shooting death they pass each other the staff accompanied by unnecessary acrobatics and explosions everywhere :P

It is possible and should not be a problem. Recharging a staff is only possible once a day.
De staff shoult be empty a long the andventure.
