Martial Artist with Ki?

Rules Questions

Wondering if this should work and if it's worth it. Playing a half-orc martial artist. We are in the beginning stage so tweakage is allowed. I was thinking going Martial artist/Sensei then multiclass into Rogue to pick up Ki. Should this work and would it be worthwhile? I'm NOT going for the heavy hitter in the group. More of when I do it should hurt and help the rest of the group hit better.

* edit correction for Sensei Thanks Zed.

I assume you meant Weapon Adept rather than Kensai as there is no Kensai archetype and the Weapon Adept is what the Kensai was in 3.5 (or at least close to it). If this is the case, you cannot combine the two archetypes as they both replace Perfect Self and Timeless Body.

If you meant the Sensei archetype, they do stack, but I don't know that they'd be overly effective together. Not saying they won't be, but I don't see it.

As to the Ki question, it's nigh uselss to you. As a rogue you can spend ki to:
Gain a +10 enhancement bonus to your speed for the round (spend 1 point)
Gain a +4 on stealth checks (spend 1 point)
Treat any jump as if you had a running start (have 1 point in reserve)

And that's all. You would then have to spend your rogue talents on Ninja Trick to pick up other Ki based abilities.

I realize you would need to add yet another stat dependence, but why go rogue and not ninja? You'd already have the ki pool built into the class.

Hope this helps.

Zed,
Was just about explain my thought of using the Sensei ability to share monk abilities at level 6, then realized that's only Ki abilities...

We have a ninja in the group and I'm not sure if I want to steal that thunder as it were. I may have to look at Ninja a bit more however.

Thanks for the correction was also looking at Magus Kensai too at the time of the posting.
