Hey i just finished play slumbering tsar and read a pathfinder side thing about dragons.
I am wondering would the chromatic dragons become shiny if they were good?
like red ruby?
green --> emerald?
if so what kind of abilities would they have.
I am asking because I am running a epic campaign with a different group and they are evil thinking they are going to see a red dragon. I dont want to send them up against a gold they would expect a fight where as a ruby they would be wtf.

I don't really think dragons if they changed their alignments would actually change color (that just sounds weird.)
there's actually no such thing as a ruby dragon (you could always make one). Also, I'd like to point out that there's a bit on the PFSRD (I'm guessing book as well) that might be of interest:
Chromatic dragons (black, blue, green, red, white) are almost universally evil, seeking only to slake their endless lust for food, treasure, and bloodshed.
Metallic dragons (brass, bronze, copper, gold, silver) are generally good and often protect the lands under their care.
Using that wording, I believe it would be possible to have a Red Dragon be Lawful Good, while a Gold Dragon could be Chaotic Evil. Throw off your players that way.
Ruin the conception that if it's chromatic, it's evil, and if it's metallic, it's good! Make them rue the day they thought the Red Dragon "Trashthemall" was a bad dragon and "Savethemall" was a good dragon.
