Shadowcaster archetype question

My shadowcaster wizard already has darkvision 60' what happens at 5th level when he is supposed to get shadowsight which grants 60' darkvision.

does he get 120' darkvision or has no effect and just keep the 60' darkvision?

This would be a question to ask your GM. However, I would say that either your darkvision bumps up to 90ft., or you get back the wizard bonus feat at 5th level. There's no way that you should lose out on a feat just because you already have darkvision.

As a GM I would say the opposite. you already have darkvision so the darkvision at 5th level does nothing unless it specifically says it bumps up existing darkvision.

In PFS, it does nothing. In a home game, it'd really depend on the GM. I'd probably grant Darkvision 90 or a wizard feat, the player's choice.
