I would suggest staying vanilla necromancer. Life school loses channel AND command/turn undead just for 1hp/1undead dmg per spell level, on target that has already been affected by one of your spells. Not to mention if you drop an AoE its not hp per target, its hp split among targets which makes it even worse.

Personally, I'd be a litle leery about ditching both of those simply because that'sthe lion's share of the available Will Save based stuff, which is often wonderful vs. non-undead.
That said, they're decent opposed school choices each on their own. As are Divination and Abjuration, if you do want to keep some Will Save stuff. Necromancy is also one of the only really good options for being a Thassilonian Specialist...though that does involve paying the price of giving up Shield forever (among others).

If you find later that you made a huge mistake, you COULD burn a feat on "Diversified Casting" (Dragon Magazine issue 325 on page 61). Will allow you to cast a couple of those crucial spells you missed.
Don't know if it's worth a feat, just saying it's an option.
No need to look outside Pathfinder for this. UM contains the Discovery "Oposition Research" which actually removes one of your opposition schools entirely. You need to be at least 9th level to take it, but it's cool.
