How do I get a PFS# for a character?

Pathfinder Society

I have a PFS#, I have a character that I played a pbp PFS intro with - how do I or do I need a unique number for the charcter - do I have to register him in some way, how do I do it.

There are two options

A) you can register your character. In the past this was on the right - guess you find it with the new layout if you go to player resources.

B) your GM might have assigned a fS number for you. As GM you can ask fr 10 numbers with a code.

Check with your GM. I hope the PBP hasn't finished too long ago. The GM should have asked prior to reporting as he can't report you without a number. But you don't want to end up with 2.

As sad elsewhere. You have one PFS number - currently 5 digits and 50K+ - for example 56789. This is Your number as player. Character 1 will be 56789-1 and character 2 56789-2 etc.

Welcome to PFS and I hope you enjoyed the first game and that there are many to follow.

Thanks for the input but I can't find where I add a number - I already have a character set up, and I don't want to create a new characher, I want to add a PFS# for the one I have. I only see edit profie on the right.

Go to My Pathfinder Society (logging in if necessary). In the main body of the page you'll see the line 'You are Pathfinder # XXXXX.' That XXXXX is the PFS number for you (the real life player).

Below that, you'll see the 'My Characters' section, which is likely to have one line in it, starting with a number like XXXXX-1. That is the PFS number for your in-game character. If you create another character, it'll be XXXXX-2, etc.

Does that help?

Not quite - I already have a charecter made, did not create it as a PFS character, played PFS Intro 1 by pbp, now want to add the number to the existing character but cant.

BudFox, if you click on Paz's link do you see the "You are Pathfinder #" on the page? if so in the middle of the page directly under that, there should be a my characters bar. with a 'register new character' link under that.

I just checked your profile - Elwyn Cintras is already listed as your first PFS character.

You have to follow the My Pathfinder Society link. When you log in, it should show you your number. Elwyn should be #####-1

Off course I can't hack into your account and can't tell you what he number is. But seems you are already okay.

But his other Pathfinder characters seem to be aliases, rather then registered correctly.

The others are not Pathfinder Characters but rather aliases.

For example - Thod is my alias - it isn't a PFS character and can't become one.

Closer to this - I also have Latharel the Lost - who currently plays First Steps Part 2 and Latharel who is the official PFS character.

There is no way - that I know - to make an Alias into a PFS character. I even know a player who plays as two aliases - his Summoner and his Eidolon.

Apart of estetics - it shouldn't matter if you have posted a game as Alias or PFS character. The PFS number willbe from the PFS character - the posts will always belong to the alias.

Thanks guys, that is the problem - played as an Alias, had to then create the PFS character and will now play as him, thanks again!
