Intelligent magic items and personal spells as powers?

Rules Questions

How does that work?

Normal rules would mean that the spell would be cast on itself, which is generally effectless without sunder attempts involved.

Normally I'd say that's the end, but Anvengen’s Edge (CoT) has Divine Favor. Is Avengen's Edge an exception (as the complete text mentions "on the wielder") or the norm?

I don't see any generic, broadly applicable exception to the Personal spell issue so I'd say that Personal spells effect the item not the wearer. Unless, of course, its stated otherwise (such as in your example).

I pretty much ignore the rule on personal spells when building an intelligent item. So, yeah, True Strike in a magic, intelligent dagger affects the wielder not the dagger...

YMMV, natch. But I haven't had it break a game yet.
