Armor Spikes+Two-handed Weapon=Two weapon fighting?

Rules Questions

I've been seeing some people suggest doing Two-Weapon Fighting with a Greatsword (or similar Two-handed weapon) and using Armor Spikes as an offhand. Is it really possible to do so? RAW is rather confusing on it.

Yes, it is posible. Is a rather old trick.

And a very, very good one. It's one of the things that makes fighters really viable, since it's a very feat-intensive build.

And before it gets brought up, no, it is not "overpowered" or "cheezy". What it is, is a good way of letting fighters keep up without GM Fiat.

It depends on who you ask. I don't think it is OP though.

Actually, it is not all that efficient, normally. It is best used when wielding a reach weapon, as a way to threaten within 5ft.
