Snake style and AC

Rules Questions

When I use snake style to replace my AC with my sense motive check result, are there any other bonus's that can be applied to my new sense motive AC?

Like fighting defensively, or a ring of protection, or haste, or any other outside source of AC?

Since all of the effects that you've listed modify your AC, but the Snake Style Feat replaces your current AC with the result of a sense motive check (aka uses a skill check instead of your AC to determine if an attack hits), I'd say no.

Think of it in this sense of a question: Do any of those abilities modify a skill check?

But skill focus sense motive and traits that modify sense motive should work.

Would you feel the same way if instead of listing bonuses, he'd listed being prone (-4 AC), having charged this round (-2 AC), and having 6 points of DEX damage (-3 AC)?

After all, "do any of those things modify a [sense motive] check?"

I think the answer is exactly the same -- no they don't, and so they don't affect his roll against this particular attack using Snake Style.
