Dazing spell metamagic and damage over time spells?

How exactly do they work togather?

Every time the creature take damage, it makes a save.

The duration of the daze effect wouldn't stack, though, it would overlap. So, only the most recent daze would apply.

Another good question: If a creature fails several saves in a row, would the daze effects have to be removed one at a time by an ability such as Lay on Hands?

So not just once per spell?

Well unless the spell also dazes at which point the duration is stacked with the initial spells effect per the feat.

Due to the intent of the magical stacking rules I'm going with no. Same source same effect, every time the save is failed the duration ends/is replaced again with the new duration as the effect is applied anew. However if the meta spell causing the condition were still in effect it would reapply the effect after it was removed so it would be in the best interest to clear that first regardless.

Very well. Comes with packeted mozerella. =)

So, my druid uses dazing call lightning, his one baddie with a bolt, and its dazed for 3 rounds. But after only 2 rounds i hit it again (same spell, different bolt) and its dazed for 3 more rounds, not 4. Right? But say my first CL runs out, but i like the spell so i cast it again (while things are dazed) would the daze effect overlap, or override? (just so i get it strait)

When a dazing spell deals damage, you make a save. Durations overlap (so if you daze something for 3 rounds, then one the next round you daze it again then they're dazed for 3 rounds again, but you actually only get 4 rounds (because 2 of them are overlapping).

It's still vicious. I posted a druid build guide not long ago that discusses the viciousness of a blasting druid + dazing spell.

EDIT: Here. Druid Blasting + Dazing Spell Part 1, Druid Plasting + Dazing Spell Part 2.

Hay Ashiel! I thought you'd be posting here.
Yeah, your post on that blasting thread is why i made this druid ;-) (and i used your ideas)
