I would much rather have all the gnomes to have gone slowly insane from being seperated from the first world and have developed into bitter angry homocidal spriggans. NOW THAT would be an awesome race.
Problem is in most super dangerous campaigns with evil demons and stuff gnomes are just plain out of place. I say they get replaced with a race that is much more interesting like something as brutal as an orc.
So do it. It's your game. Declare the above sentiments to exist in your game setting and stop trying to take options away from other players who happen to enjoy them.
Gnomes get a lot of love at our tables. My wife practically plays them exclusively.

Somebody missed the memo.
Gnomes in Pathfinder are awesome and different. The whole first world angle is crazy and awesome, as is the Bleaching.
Also, is it not folly to invalidate whole categories of player character between editions? That's a sure way to make a lot of people butthurt over converting their favorite PC.
But then, you're definitely trolling. Guess we all failed the will save.

Let's face it, gnomes are the least popular PC race and for good reason. Let's choose to just drop them come Pathfinder 2.0 and use a new innovative PC race that is Pathfinder exclusive. I think that would be the best solution.
You can feel free to ban Gnomes from your homes games.
Your dislike of the race is no reason to remove the option from those players in the larger community who enjoy playing gnomes.

We're watching you, citiz... oh GOD, look! It whirls, it WHIRLS! I want two, no, THREE, but make it four!
Ehem... as I was saying, you and your topic are both being closely monitored by Gnomeland Sec... four? who said four? I WANT FIVE WHIRLY THINGS, and by five I clearly mean six.
Me. You. Watching <points eyes with fingers>

Once, and once only:
The game is made for a wide variety of people with a wide variety of interests. If you don't like <insert race/class/skill/feat/etc here> then don't [redacted] use it in your [redacted] game and let everyone else have their fun, you [redacted].
Ooh, is this like madlibs?
Ok, I fill those [redacted] with:"hilariously"
"burlesque"
"horny smurf"

Harumph! Perhaps this famous gnome bard will show you why gnomes are essential to the game.

We just had a thread for this, and it didn't end well either. This one is locked.
