when a hound archon uses beast shape II,
does he retain his DR, SR and resistances in the changed form?

polymorph says he loses

Quote:
all extraordinary and supernatural abilities that depend on your original form (such as keen senses, scent, and darkvision), as well as any natural attacks and movement types possessed by your original form.

I just wasn't sure if those were ex/su abilities that depend on his original form. I guess sense are b/c they rely on the form/shape/anatomy behind them. But I wasn't sure if there's like, an SR organ, or if its specifically some skin cells that make him resistant to electricity etc. And he'd loose access to his spell-like abilities since the large canine form isn't suitable to cast spells.

it usually doesn't come up, since most wizards don't have innate supernatural/extraordinary abilities, but when monsters do it, i start getting into corner cases.

That does sound like a grey area. I'd say that the archon doesn't lose those abilities as they come from his divine nature, not his physical form. Something that has laser shooting eye stalks that gets beast shaped would lose those...

I can see an argument made the other way though.
