You add your STR to all melee damage rolls. The only caveat is primary natural attacks add the full STR bonus, and secondary attacks only add 1/2 STR to damage.
To put it simply: if you are only attacking with your bite, you add your full STR bonus to your damage (so 1d4 + STR mod). If you are attacking with, say, a kukri and THEN your bite, you only add half of your STR bonus (1d4 + 1/2 STR mod) and you take a -5 to the bite attack (as it is a secondary, natural attack).

Since the kitsune only has one natural attack, i believe they would get 1 1/2 times strength if all they did was bite.
If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature's full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 times the creature's Strength bonus on damage rolls. This increase does not apply if the creature has multiple attacks but only takes one
