Rules Questions

I am thinking about creating a character using only natural attacks, but the rules have me a bit confused.

If I play a half-orc I have three options to get a bite attack.

the toothy alternate racial trait gives me one as aprimary natural attack

the tusked race trait from orcs of golarion gives me a bite attack, but states it is a secundary attack when used as part of a full attack

the razortusk feat from APG gives me a bite attack, states that I am proficient with it and that it is a secundary attack when used as part of a full attack.

now if I use only natural attacks (say claw/claw/bite) what happens with each of these three options?

I am assuming they are all at my full base attack and full strength on all of them, but especially the part about being proficient in the razortusk entry is making me doubt.

and what is in effect the difference between these options, except for the price

With-out examining the further, they look the same.

If you have bite as a primary natural attack, it would always be a secondary atack if used along with normal, weaponed attacks.

Note that with the feral combat feat, it could be used instead of an unarmed attack as part of a flurry of blows without becoming a secondary attack.

1)
Toothy: Some half-orcs' vestigial tusks are massive and sharp, granting a bite attack. This is a primary natural attack that deals 1d4 points of piercing damage. This racial trait replaces the orc ferocity racial trait.

2)don't have access from work.

3)Razortusk
Your powerful jaws and steely teeth are deadly enough to give you a bite attack.

Prerequisite: Half-orc.

Benefit: You can make a bite attack for 1d4 points of damage, plus your Strength modifier. You're considered proficient in this attack and can apply feats or effects appropriate to natural attacks to it. If used as part of a full attack action, the bite is considered a secondary attack and is made at your full base attack bonus –5, and adds half your Strength modifier to damage.

Yep, look the same.
Difference would be what you wanted to give up to gain them.

Also note rangers, druids, and barbarians can get natural attacks through feats, class abilities, or rage powers.

Dark Archive

Everything you have asked about has been clarified in the Beastiary entry on natural attacks.

First, ALL bite and claw attacks are primary attacks and are at full strength bonus, ignore the entries that state otherwise on this ability descriptions.

The only time these particular attacks become secondary is when you mix them with manufactured weapons or iterative attacks.

Any time you have questions about natural attacks and how they work it has been ruled that the Beastiary is the go to source for answers on those questions.

Here's the link.

Grand Lodge

If it is your only natural attack, it will get x1.5 strength to damage.
