The Exchange

Hello everyone.
Can you help me!What items would be best for me to purchase for this character. I just made for a Kingmaker Adventure path. This character will be jumping in a ready started group at 6th level. I have 16,000 of gold to play with in spending, I would like to get great items and get most useful items to help me in kingmaker.

White Kobold (Chillie Willie)
Rogue 4 (Sniper)and Sorc 2 (wildblood; bloodline: Dragonic)
Stats
Str 6
Dex 18
Con 12
Int 12
Wis 11
Cha 20

Feats:
Arcane Strike
Weapon Finesse
Spell Focus

I have 16,000 gold to play with. What gear/items purchase you pick. Can you guys help me on the best choice. Please

Could any of you help out.
Thanks

Good items for any character:

Ring of Protection
Amulet of Natural Armor
Cloak of Resistance
Handy Haversack (especially with your low STR, you will be encumbered easily)
Efficient Quiver and various different arrows/bolts and wands
Magical weapon(s)
Magical armor (probably Bracers of Armor for you unless you don't mind an armor check penalty)
Headband and/or belt of appropriate stat (DEX and CHA are probably first choices for you)
Alchemist fire and/or acid flask (for dealing with swarms)
Rope and grappling hook
A light source

I'm sure there are other things I have missed, but that's what I could think of off-hand that will get you started.

Send it to me and I promise I will help you spend it. :D

Seriously:
Belt of Dexterity+2 (4000gp)
Cloak of Resistance+1 (1000gp) AND/OR Muleback Cords (APG p308, 1500gp if you have the Cloak of Resistance, 1000gp if you do not) to help your carrying capacity.
Ring of Deflection+1 (2000gp)
Amulet of Natural Armor+1 (2000gp)
Weapon of choice +1 (weapon cost +2300gp) (Ignore this if weapons aren't your thing)

If you do not have the spell Mage Armor and do not wear armor then:
50charge Wand of Mage Armor (CL1) (750gp)

If you do have Armor then: Mithril Chain Shirt+1 (1150+1000)

If you use a shield then:
Mithral Buckler+1 (1005+1000)

Thatll leave a bit less than 1000gp

Hm, I guess your idea is to use range touch attacks with spells?

If so a Wand of Scorching ray for 6k would do you good service.

A handy Haversack for 2k is simply too useful for a caster/rogue to pass up.

Then you need to ask yourself wether you will likely be able to stay out of melee. If not (your fellows are also ranged/caster classes) I suggest an Amulet of Natural Armor +1 and a Ring of Protection +1 (for 4k) and a Buckler+1 for 2k.

Else if your game is not so combat intensive and you want to go the trickster, con-artist way then a Ring of Mind Shielding could be of great use (also 8k).

In combat heavy games the mechanically most sound choice would be a Headband of Charisma +2 and a Belt of Dexterity +2 for 4k each, giving you +1 on most of your d20 rolls during a fight.

MicMan, a +1 Buckler is 1k not 2k. Although, the mithral component would add another 1k (but you didn't state it was mithral).

Sczarni

Muleback Cords and Ion Torch come to mind. Both fairly inexpensive.

cracked pearly white spindle ion stone 3,400 g.p - heal 1 h.p an hour cuts down on the amount of healing needed by wands of cure light especialy in kingmaker where a lot of times you might only get one encounter every other day

ring of sustenance 2,500 g.p - explore more hexes between two hour naps and don't have to carry food or water or got back to town as often every character NEEDS this item especially in a hex crawl game.

handy haversack 2,000 g.p - another must have item for every adventurer

eyes of the eagle 2,500 g.p - +5 perception the most often called for skill check in any game, not a must have but cheap get a lot of use out of them and not much else goes into the eye slot

rod of metamagic extend lesser 3,000 g.p - great way to make those long buff spells longer, good low level spells to use with it mount and mage armor

wand of infernal healing 750 g.p - 500 hit points in a little magic stick you don't have to make a use magic device roll to activate best gold to h.p cost in the game for out of combat healing.

Invest in a high end tavern. You could expect to see an annual rate of return near 8-12%. While its not as useful in combat your grand children will be glad that were wise with your money rather than having a bunch of old used up wands or something.

My opinions:

Build:

I might suggest dropping the arcane strike and spell focus and go for point blank and precise shot (+1 to hit and dame in 30', get rid of the -4 to hit in melee) and works with the sniper theme.

Take finesse rogue to get the weapons finesse as a rogue talent
Then use that feat for arcane strike or shadow strike (sneak attack on concealed).

For items:
Handy haversack
Efficient quiver

Should be on the top of your list. At 6 str you're encumbered by a dinner plate.

Then I would concentrate on a darlkwood bow, mithril rapier (as backup weapon)

Spells:
mage armour, shield, expeditious retreat top my list for 1st level.

You going for arcane trickster?
