So with the coming new season of PFS, where are some locations you'd love to see new scenarios set?
Personally for me, I'd really enjoy to see some of Alkenstar for us gunslinger inclined players.
I'd also like more Tain scenarios as a felt that of the Season 3 ones I played, these were among the best.
The Mana Wastes might prove interesting!
If I could convince Santa I was a good girl, I'd also ask for something even more exotic that touched on some of the locations presented in Distant Worlds... but I doubt I could ever bamboozle Mr. Claus that much. :)

To be honest, for PFS, I don't think Alkenstar and the Mana Wastes would be a good adventuring location; too many PFS PCs use magic.
I presume by Tain you actually mean Tien, like the location for the Ruby Phoenix Tournament? That would be interesting, but, if I am understanding the ramp-up being done now in the blogs and foreshadowing threads, that Season 4 is going to be concentrating on adventures in the region of Varisia.

I'd be a fan of more adventures in regions that have already had some exploration, but haven't been exhausted: Kaer Maga, the River Kingdoms, Ursalav, and of course Absalom and the five faction kingdoms.
There are other locales, such as Nex, Numeria, or the Worldwound, that would host good modules, but I'd rather not see them waved at in a brief PFS scenario. (I liked the use of Razmiran in Masks of the Living God, but I wouldn't have wanted to see a scenario try to capture the same level of immersion in the culture there.

I'm pretty sure the locations of Season 4 scenarios have already been decided (Varisia). I'm sure the location for some Season 5 scenarios have also been decided (although they're probably fluid).
To me, it doesn't matter where a scenario is located, as long as they actually do something cool and thematic with the location, to make it different from everywhere else. The problem that I find is that the location doesn't really matter, it's so generic it could be anywhere. The only time you notice a change is when a GM reads some source material and adds some cosmetic changes of his own to the scenario. The majority of GMs don't do this.
I liked Season 3 a lot, but I didn't feel it took advantage of introducing us to Tian Xia. The 4 scenarios I played in Tian Xia really could have been anywhere. Somewhere along the line there should have been a difference in their local laws, customs, language (give me 2-5 common words), how we approach faction missions, or how we interact with the locals. And not expect a GM to read 300 pages of source material on Tian Xia to do it himself! (A glimpse would be fine).
Although constrained by word count, differences based on location can add a lot to a scenario (look at City of Strangers, probably 2 entire pages could have been added just to introduce the culture). Scenario writers should be trying to simplify my life, by not only writing creative encounters, but also with knowing some of the source material of the location (and adding 1-2 small things). I think most GMs would find it helpful.

Agreed.
