Are trolls immune to fear and demoralization?

Rules Questions

This came up last game and I was hoping for some clarification on the issue. My character makes use of Cornugon smash quite regularly and were taking on a group of trolls when the question came up as to whether they can be demoralized because of the moral text

Morale Because of their regenerative abilities, trolls are fearless. Even flames or the presence of acid don’t slow them down—they always fight to the death.

They don't list an immunity to fear in the statblock, but we decided to rule it that way for the time being.

I think that just shows they don't run away if they're losing a fight.

They are not immune to fear.

That was fluff text.

I'm pretty certain that morale is usually used as a DM aid to help determine when a given monster should retreat.

Fluff not in Stat Block dose not count.

Successful Troll is only afraid of fear itself.

*Casts Cause Fear*

Grand Lodge

When not being effected by a fear effect, a troll is fearless. A troll is not immune to fear effects though.
