Can you Sneak Attack with Alchemist fire?

Rules Questions

suppose a Rogue throws an Alchemist Fire vial on an enemy from 20 feet away,
and the opponent would qualify for a normal sneak attack.

would the extra damage from Sneak attack applies?

Splash weapons cannot deal precision-based damage (such as the damage from the rogue's sneak attack class feature).
