Exploring Delvehaven...

When exploring delvehaven...

spoiler:
All the guest rooms have empty picture frames in them.

My players latched onto this as significant, but I don't see any explanation of why this is here, and am having trouble coming up with something that fits the backstory... anybody have a good reason for this to be the case?

The House of Thrune looted Delvehaven. This is probably just evidence of that.

Seems a little weird that they took those things but left

Spoiler:
very valuable books downstairs
no?

It does seem weird. Why would they leave the books? Maybe they didn't realize the value of books but the value of paintings was obvious? Could they have sent a bunch of thugs to loot the place?

Sczarni

You have to also remember that the House of Thrune is notorious for trying to erase people, events and items from history. I had a note to describe it as similar to V for Vendetta and the black bags.
