well, i can use heirloom weapon to get any martial weapon i want, and since i'm an arcane duelist, it becomes my weapon bond. in for a penny, in for a pound. question is, do i go for something with reach, like a bardiche, or something like a greatsword. we already have an unbreakable fighter with a falchion, so i dont wanna use the same weapon. so to support him, and the party, reach or no reach?
also, i'm currently agonizing over whether to go with toughness (i have a 14 con and am using favored class for extra known spells as a human) or improved init. opinions?

Reach weapons can be very handy, unless you're playing in a lot of enclosed spaces, at which point it would be a pain. The lucerne hammer (APG) does a d12 instead of the general d10 for reach weapons.
Without the bonus HP from the favored class, I'd say go with toughness, since otherwise you'll really be hurting for hit points. Alternately, combat reflexes works really well with reach weapons if you have the dex.

Hmmm so consensus is reach weapon eh? yeah, i'd be an archer, but we already have an inquisitor archer in the party. alright, i'll use a reach weapon, bardiche is a good standard, either that or lucern hammer. we're in carion crown, for some background. if they get too close, i'll have to use my spiked gauntlet to clock 'em. another reason reach is fun is i'm planning on making extensive use of enlarge person potions, and other enlargement effects. with a reach weapon this'll give me 20' reach, which combat reflexes will really help me with.
