Then it looks like we have either a group or close enough to one. What are we looking at doing? An AP? PFS? Something freeform? Vonzara seemed to have some ideas.
I have several characters basically ready to go (need minor tweaks for any given campaign), though most of them lean toward the strongly heroic end if this matters.

Good afternoon,
I have decided to run a free form/sandbox for the game. I will post details for the campaign setting later but we are playing in absolm/galorian. Your characters WILL be level one and only classes from the CRB,UC,UM, APG, AR or any that are listed in the Paizo PRD are acceptable. I will accept archetypes from the pervious mentioned books. Also please pick a faction for your character and tie that into your backgrond please. I would like to do a Friday evening twice a month if this is ok with everyone.
Also if any of you know of a website we can use for the maps that would be nice.

When you say 'faction', can you be more specific? I can interpret it several different ways. For example, are we using Pathfinder Society's factions? Each nation as a separate faction? Are these the actual PFS factions, or their main branches without the ties to the Society and its rules?
Friday evening 2x a month works for me. I'm in Central Standard Time if this matters.
As for a website for maps... there is a Java program that lets us run a virtual tabletop environment, called MapTool. I've used it in the past and it works well; you have a little initial work to do, then it's pretty smooth after that. It basically works as a tabletop setting, complete with character tokens, maps, initiative trackers, dice, and so on.

Faction = one of the 10 found in the Pathfinder Society. I will be integrating these in as we go.
For the classes it has to be found here on the Paizo site please. I have Hero Lab and it makes it easier for me if I have to check how something works.
I will be using the RPTools maps and such. everyone please take a look at it. Here is the RP Tool link
We will start the game Friday, August 10th, I live in Eastern time but for simplification we will run on Central time as most of you are in that time zone. Will 9pm CST work for everyone?
This will give me time to figure out the map tool and for everyone to create characters.
any questions post them here or PM me.

9 PM CST not only works very well for me, it's close to ideal. I have an odd schedule and 9 PM fits great.
One thing up front: I live in an area where there can often be extremely loud noises for long periods of time (very loud car engines, large metal objects being loaded/unloaded in a less than graceful manner, etc.). During those times, I'll have to be text-only for my speech, action declarations, etc., but A> I type fast, and B> You can still speak as normal.
Anyway, I have a few builds ready to go. Mine are Pathfinder Society legal (and follow your additional guidelines); is that what we should be aiming for? Start at Level 1, 20 Points, 2 Traits, etc.?
If so, I've got prospective characters for the following ideas. I can tweak if specific mechanics such as equipment/etc. aren't acceptable to you.
Faction: All fit into Silver Crusade (preferred) or Andoran (secondary choice) quite well.
1 - NG Celestial Sorc (Human). Mix of long range attack spells, terrain control, summoning (from Level 3 onward, anyway), social skills, very limited healing, minor buffing. Follows Sarenrae.
2 - CG Fighter/Lore Warden (Human). Light armor, uses a Horsechopper for main weapon. Mostly a mobile trip/reach fighter, some heavy hitting but AC is relatively low to keep Speed up. Has several Int-related skills in addition to fighting. May use Catch Off Guard feat to expand fighting options with polearms if you'll permit it. Follows Milani.
Lore Warden info: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fig hter-archetypes/lore-warden
Horsechopper Info (it's from APG): http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/weapons
Catch Off Guard info (would be using it for staff-fighting and such with the polearm): http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/catch-off-guard-combat
3 - LG Paladin (Human) of Sarenrae. Light armor, Two-Weapon-fights with a Scimitar and Light Spiked Shield. Low Int/Wis, would portray this as cheerful/helpful but having little head for anything beyond basic planning; gladly defers to party on tactical choices. Melee, some healing, some social skills.
4 - CG Maestro Sorc (Elf). Essentially a traveling dancer/bard-esque sort, but with fewer weapons/armor abilities. Very playful, intentionally tries to do things that are benevolent but strange and makes silly jokes. Is paying more attention to the situation than they make immediately obvious, so won't drag the party down. Follows Desna.
5 - NG Fighter (Human). From Tian Xia, but wields western polearms such as a Bill (from APG, same link as the Horsechopper above) or similar. Has some Cha-related skills. Light armor, so mobile reach fighting type but focuses more on damage than special combat maneuvers. Follows Sarenrae (gosh, there's a pattern!).
So basically three light armor melee types, one social/trickery performer and caster, and one blasting/summoning/support caster. All have generally heroic inclinations and I can run any of them; hopefully my having five options handy provides others with enough freedom to build what they want to play and not worry too much about party roles.
Please let me know what you think, both fellow players and Vonzara as our GM.

I was looking at a 25 point-by. 20 points do not give you enough to build a solid character in my mind. For the rest I'm thinking PFS rules for the rest of the build. For those who may have hero lab I'm going to use medium speed for leveling.
Pegasus I'm liking what I see so far. As for me being a GM I'm easy to please and have very few restrictions over all. If you have a concept in mind we can sit and figure out how to make it work.
Also I am looking for a party of 5-6 people. If need be I can add NPCs to the party if it needs balanced.

I think I am going to play a Fighter of some sort. I can post my character here if you want. I will have to look at the PFS building rules. However, I would like to have access to the severing 3PP Combat Maneuver. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/3rd-party-feats/4-winds-fantasy-gaming/combat -feats/improved-sever-combat. I will probably be a Two-Handed Human Fighter of The Grand Lodge as I am not familiar with the system. I guess I will post my character as soon as possible.

My character will be Calin. That is what he is called. He is a Fighter with the Andoran Faction and he wields a Great Axe as his weapon of choice. If the setting is more suited, he will opt for his longsword instead. His stats are STR 28, Dex 14 CON 13 INT 12 WIS 10 CHA 16. His feats are Liberator, Power Attack, Cleave, and Furious Focus. I will post the rest later. Just tell me what else you want.

@Baron - Calin works I have no issues with that just to confirm he's a 2 handed fighter.
@Arkwright - I'm toying with skipping to level 3 and a non-squishy Mage works. Also to confirm you can use wants, such as Cure Light Wounds.
Now all we need to be rounded and balanced is heals and a skill monkey lol

Ive got a few house rules that we use when I GM. The one is you can use a wand in combat on another if you are not engaged in combat yourself. Example: the rogue is being beaten on by an earth elemental and the Mage walks up behind him to poke him with the wand. I allow this to occur without a concentration check as the mage is not engaged.

I am going to start a new thread for the recruitment and post all of the guidelines. I am looking for 3-4 people so Baron and Arkwright your places are secure. This will be mentioned in the first post.
I will leave recruitment open until August 4th. Then it will close down and I'll move us to the discussion section. Even though we will be playing on Skype I feel a discussion area will be helpful if questions arise or if you want to communicate with each other and work on things outside of game time such as RP, selling loots, shopping or chasing leads for a given mission.

Here is the link to the Skype/PbP home brew game. I have give a small summary of what is going on and all the crunchy stuff is listed there as well.
