Advice

As the title suggests, please give feedback (what else I should consider or what I'm missing) as I've never actually played a bard before.

I plan to roll a bard 'sandman' in a new campaign. I'd like to make him quite the charmer and thief. I do NOT want to multiclass or do any dipping.

Planned feats:

Spell focus enchantment, greater sf enchantment, skill focus knowledge (not sure which), eldritch heritage (arcane - thrush familiar ), improved eldritch heritage (more spells), greater eldritch heritage (school power enchantment) .

I'd learn the masterpiece 'at the heart of it all' sacrificing a lvl 3 spell.

Basically the idea is this: my absolutely adorable lil halfling minstrel waddles his way up to stage and starts performing. Using his special sandman powers and high sleight of hand, the unsuspecting (rich) victim becomes powerless to my charm and opposed charisma rolls. And no one even knows any funny business went on!

So what do you guys think? What am I missing?

Also what skills do I need. I was thinking with favored class and a 14 intelligence, I'd grab:

Stealth, sleight of hand, bluff, perform (string), acrobatics, disable device, diplomacy, umd, and one other...

As the Chinese say, "hao bu hao?" Good or not good?

Tell me please!

It is ABSOLUTELY essential (In my opinion) as a Sandman to take Step-Up because if you are hoping to really play off of stealing magic, and disrupting casters. You will need to be able to follow them as they take a 5 foot step every turn to get out of your threatened range.
