Summoner Synthesist. Magical equipment.

So it says under the synthesis summoner (While fused, the synthesist loses the benefits of his armor.) as well as. (While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist can use all of his own abilities and gear, except for his armor.) So obviously armor and shield bonuses from basic armor and shield do not work but what about magical equipment like bracers of armor helm of charisma ect and if they DO work do they effect you both in this form?

Actually, I see nothing about it preventing shield bonuses. The RAI might indicate it (since synthesist later grants shield bonuses) but it isn't spelled out.

Second, it says nothing about other equipment being non-functional. Thus all of it should be functional.

My guess is the whole 'armor is nonfunctional' element of synthesist is because the eidolon is acting as your armor.

Ah good point. I will likely use the shield spell but that works.
