I think that only applies to immediate actions used when it is not your turn. An immediate action used on your own turn, is essentially a swift action. You would still have an immediate action available after your current turn, because using the swift action on your current turn doesn't affect the availability of the swift action on your next turn, which is what the out-of-turn immediate action is spending in advance.
