Do these 2 archetypes stack, The Mysterious Stranger loses Gun training for Strangers Fortune but the Pistolero gains Pistol Training at 5th level (not stating it replaces any ability)

yes they stack I'm playing one right now in another game Advanced Guides says Archtype's stack

Yes they stack and they stack well with a 2 level dip of the Divine Hinter Paladin archetype for some serious CHA benefits...I have one started and halfway planned for PFS and so far it looks amazing

Liberty's Edge

I am fairly certain that Pistol Training should also replace Gun Training, but RAW, the two archetypes stack.

In my games, I definitely would not let a player take both archetypes though.

I would also say that looking at the other archetypes it's just an oversight that Pistolero does not replace gun training. So I'm convinced it should not stack.

But yes by RAW it does stack. As GM I wouldn't allow it though

I dont see why you would disallow it. In some ways the Mysterious Stranger is weaker then the standard gunslinger, namely that a MS has to use grit to add CHA to their damage, but a standard gunslinger gets to use dex every time after reaching level 5.

Except Pistolero adds it back... (for free)
The question has often been if Pistolero gets Pistol Training and Gun Training (adding dex twice)

This combo simply "gets around" the obvious cheese by forcing you to spend grit to add cha on top of the dex you already have. (at least until you make it signature)

oh yeah, forgot that

MS trades in the ability to add Dex to damage for the ability to ignore misfires from level 5 on, which is quite a huge bonus really, since it doesn't force you to spend time and/or grit on removing the misfire again, instead you can keep shooting.
However if you allow it to be combined with Pistolero, they get that ability back at no cost.
MS might be "worse" from a DPR perspective (I don't know if it is), it just has different strengths.

Next, if you compare the Musket Master "Musket Training" and the Pistolero "Pistol Training" ability, it's word-for-word the same, with the exception of "Pistolero" instead of "Musket Master" and "one-handed firearms" instead of "two-handed firearms".
Yet Musket Master replaces gun training, and Pistolero doesn't? Just doesn't make any sense.

Third, Pistol Training basicly is a better, more specialised version of Gun Training. You get some extra bonus damage, but are limited to one-handed firearms. But you get it will all one-handed firearms at once, you don't have to pick a specific gun.
If you don't replace Gun Training, then the Pistolero can still select a two handed firearm with the GT ability, which makes no sense again. Or do they get Dex twice if they select a pistol?

Well, looking over this further...

Has it been answered which deed MS's Clipping Shot Deed replaces at level 11? The heading indicates "swaps" but it doesn't specify.

I suspect it's probably meant to be Expert Loading, since the lower level replaces Quick Clear.
